Strawberry banana popsicles are a simple way to turn fresh fruit and Greek yogurt into a creamy frozen treat. Strawberries provide a bright berry flavor, banana adds body, and honey or maple syrup rounds out the mixture. A teaspoon of lemon juice keeps the fruit flavor lively rather than overly sweet.
The entire base is blended at once. Taste the fruit before blending: very ripe banana and sweet strawberries may produce a fuller natural sweetness, while less-ripe fruit will taste more tart.
Ingredients
- 1 cup strawberries, chopped
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Place the chopped strawberries, sliced banana, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, and lemon juice in a blender.
- Blend until the mixture is smooth, pausing to scrape down the sides if needed so no fruit pieces remain around the blades.
- Pour the mixture into popsicle molds, distributing it evenly and leaving the molds ready for their lids or sticks.
- Freeze for 4–6 hours, or until the popsicles are fully set through the center.
- To release a popsicle, run the outside of its mold under warm water, then pull gently rather than twisting hard.
Serving and Freezer Notes
This recipe has a prep time of 5 minutes, no cook time, and makes 6 servings. Thick Greek yogurt gives the popsicles a creamier texture.
Keep the popsicles frozen until serving. If removing them from the molds in advance, separate them in a freezer-safe container so they do not stick together. A pop that feels especially firm can stand briefly before serving.
