Snickers-Inspired Overnight Oats

Chocolate, peanut butter, and chopped peanuts give this single-serving jar the flavor profile of a candy-bar-inspired breakfast. The oats need at least four hours in the refrigerator, so mix them the night before or early in the day.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk or non-dairy milk
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon chopped peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Steps

  1. Combine the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, cocoa powder, and vanilla in a jar or bowl.
  2. Stir thoroughly, making sure the cocoa powder and peanut butter are fully incorporated.
  3. Add a pinch of salt, then fold in the chocolate chips and chopped peanuts.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight or for at least 4 hours.
  5. Before serving, stir the oats again. Add extra peanuts and chocolate chips on top if desired.

The recipe makes one serving. A final stir redistributes the thicker peanut butter-cocoa mixture after the oats have absorbed the milk. If adding the optional extra topping, wait until serving so the peanuts keep more of their crunch.
