Grilled Cheeseburger Wraps

These grilled wraps combine seasoned ground beef, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, and burger sauce in whole-wheat tortillas. A quick skillet finish makes the outside golden and crisp.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. (450 g) extra-lean ground beef
  • 4 large whole-wheat tortillas, low-carb if desired
  • 1 cup reduced-fat shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • ¼ cup diced onion
  • 4 tablespoons light mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Coat a large skillet with cooking spray and heat it over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking it apart, until browned and 160°F (71°C). Drain excess fat, season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
  3. Lay out the tortillas. Divide the beef among them, then add the cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and onion.
  4. Mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard in a small bowl. Drizzle the sauce over each filling.
  5. Fold in the sides and roll each tortilla tightly.
  6. Coat a grill pan or skillet with cooking spray and heat it over medium heat.
  7. Place the wraps seam-side down and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and crisp.
  8. Cool for a few minutes, cut each wrap diagonally in half, and serve immediately.

The recipe makes four wraps.
