These grilled wraps combine seasoned ground beef, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, and burger sauce in whole-wheat tortillas. A quick skillet finish makes the outside golden and crisp.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. (450 g) extra-lean ground beef
- 4 large whole-wheat tortillas, low-carb if desired
- 1 cup reduced-fat shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 tomato, diced
- ¼ cup diced onion
- 4 tablespoons light mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Coat a large skillet with cooking spray and heat it over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking it apart, until browned and 160°F (71°C). Drain excess fat, season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
- Lay out the tortillas. Divide the beef among them, then add the cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and onion.
- Mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard in a small bowl. Drizzle the sauce over each filling.
- Fold in the sides and roll each tortilla tightly.
- Coat a grill pan or skillet with cooking spray and heat it over medium heat.
- Place the wraps seam-side down and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and crisp.
- Cool for a few minutes, cut each wrap diagonally in half, and serve immediately.
The recipe makes four wraps.
