Greek Yogurt Brownies

These Greek yogurt brownies combine melted chocolate, yogurt, cocoa, flour, milk, and optional chocolate chips. They bake in a parchment-lined 8×8-inch pan.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt; non-fat or reduced-fat yogurt works
  • ½ cup sugar of choice, such as white, brown, or sugar-free
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour, if needed
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup milk of choice
  • 1 cup chocolate chips of choice, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Let it stand for 1–2 minutes.
  3. Whisk in the yogurt and sugar until smooth, then transfer to a large mixing bowl.
  4. Add the flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda and mix just until combined.
  5. Add the milk and mix until fully incorporated. Fold in the optional chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the batter in the lined pan.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until a center skewer comes out just clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Mixing Notes

Let the melted chocolate cool briefly before whisking in the yogurt. Once the flour is added, mix only until no dry pockets remain. Cool completely before cutting so the brownies hold their shape.
