Fresh Granny Smith apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice form the filling for these crisp dessert rolls. A separate cinnamon-sweetener mixture coats the outside before air-frying or baking. The recipe makes six servings.
Timing: 10 minutes prep, 8 minutes cooking, 18 minutes total.
Ingredients
- 6 egg roll wrappers
- 2 Granny Smith apples
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons granulated Splenda, divided
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, divided
- Olive oil spray
Fill and seal
- Peel and chop the apples. Put them in a bowl and stir in the lemon juice.
- Combine the brown sugar, 1 tablespoon Splenda, and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Pour over the apples and mix.
- Place 2 tablespoons of apple mixture in the center of one wrapper. Fold up the bottom and sides, roll, then moisten the final edge with water and seal. Repeat with all six wrappers.
- Mix the remaining 1 tablespoon Splenda and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Spray the rolls with olive oil and sprinkle with the cinnamon mixture.
Air fryer or oven
Cook at 400°F for 8 minutes in either the air fryer or oven, flipping halfway through. Serve after the crisp wrappers have cooled slightly.
