Ingredients
For the Fish:
1 lb white fish fillets (e.g., cod, tilapia, or mahi-mahi)
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
For the Tacos:
8 small corn or flour tortillas
1 avocado, sliced
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
Fresh cilantro, chopped
1 lime, cut into wedges
For the Sauce:
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
1 tsp lime juice
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Salt, to taste
Directions:
Step 1:
In a small bowl, mix chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture onto both sides of the fish fillets.
Step 2:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the fish for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until flaky and cooked through. Remove from heat and break into chunks.
Step 3:
In another bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, lime juice, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt to make the sauce.
Step 4:
Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or directly over a flame for a slight char.
Step 5:
Assemble the tacos: layer fish, avocado slices, red onion, and cilantro onto each tortilla. Drizzle with the sauce and serve with lime wedges.
