Cherry‑Pistachio Yogurt Bowls

Cherry-pistachio yogurt bowls combine creamy Greek yogurt, pistachio butter, cherries, vanilla, and crunchy granola. The recipe serves six and works well as a make-ahead breakfast bar or a simple dessert when you want a combination of fruit, creaminess, and crunch.

The components are easy to prepare in advance, but the granola should be added near serving time so it remains crisp. Fresh or thawed cherries can be used; remove the pits before assembling the bowls.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup pistachio butter
  • 2 cups cherries, pitted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup granola

Instructions

  1. Wash and pit the cherries. Slice or halve them if they are large.
  2. Place the Greek yogurt in a mixing bowl and stir in the vanilla until evenly combined.
  3. Divide the vanilla yogurt among six serving bowls.
  4. Add a spoonful of pistachio butter to each bowl and gently swirl it through the yogurt. Avoid mixing completely if you want visible ribbons.
  5. Divide the cherries among the bowls.
  6. Sprinkle the granola over each portion immediately before serving.

Assembly and Make-Ahead Tips

If the pistachio butter is very firm, stir it well before measuring. A slightly softer consistency is easier to swirl through cold yogurt. For clearly defined layers, use small glasses or jars and alternate yogurt, cherries, and pistachio butter.

To prepare the bowls ahead, portion the yogurt, vanilla, pistachio butter, and cherries into covered containers and refrigerate. Keep the granola in a separate dry container until serving. This prevents it from absorbing moisture and becoming soft.

The sweetness will depend on the yogurt, pistachio butter, and cherries you choose. Taste the components before assembly rather than assuming additional sweetener is needed.

Use equal portions when preparing all six bowls so the toppings and texture remain consistent from serving to serving.
