Ingredients (Serves 4):

  • Chicken: 1 lb breast, 3 tbsp olive oil, juice of 1 lemon, 3 garlic cloves (minced), 1 tsp oregano, salt & pepper
  • Tzatziki: 1 cup Greek yogurt, ½ cucumber (grated & squeezed), 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 garlic clove, 1 tbsp fresh dill, salt
  • Assembly: 4 whole wheat pitas, diced tomatoes, chopped red onion, parsley or lettuce

Instructions:

  1. Marinate Chicken: Combine chicken, oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper. Marinate 30 min–overnight.
  2. Cook Chicken: Grill or pan-fry over medium-high heat 6–8 min until cooked through.
  3. Make Tzatziki: Mix all ingredients, chill.
  4. Assemble Gyros: Warm pitas, layer chicken, tzatziki, tomato, onion, and herbs. Fold & serve.
