INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt.
  • Half a cup of fat-free whipped topping, such as Cool Whip Free.
  • Two teaspoons of readymade vanilla pudding mix without added sugar
  • One teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of unscented skim/almond-based milk
  • Optional: Top with fresh berries or cinnamon.

INGREDIENT NOTES:

Greek yogurt:

  • It provides rich protein, creamy smooth yogurt to the base. Healthy and low-point Greek yogurt with non-fat and non-sweetened plain Greek yogurt.

Whipped topping:

  • A fat-free version such as Cool Whip Free helps the dessert to feel airy. It also provides sweetness without many calories.

Vanilla pudding mix:

  • Adds more vanilla taste and thickens up so that it becomes like a mousse. The instant pudding is sugar-free and is best used on those low points & for quick preparation.

Vanilla extract:

  • It boosts the natural vanilla flavor in each bite. Real and artificial vanilla are fine depending on what you have.

Milk:

  • Almond milk or skim milk makes the concoction vinaigrette & blendable. Unsweetened and low-point milk should always be used.

Optional toppings:

  • For added texture and color use sliced strawberries, blueberries/cinnamon. The toppings make it special while keeping the amount of calories down.

Directions:

  1. In a mixing dish, add Greek yoghurt & vanilla custard mix.
  2. Add the almond milk & stir till smooth.
  3. Fold in the whipped topping gradually till it’s completely incorporated.
  4. Stir in the vanilla essence.
  5. Spoon into four tiny dessert cups/bowls.
  6. Freeze it for at least 15 minutes ahead of distribution.
  7. Optional toppings include fruit or cinnamon.
  8. Serve cold & enjoy!
