Honey Butter Skillet Corn

This skillet corn combines fresh kernels with butter and honey for a simple hot side dish. Parsley or chives can be added as an optional garnish.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh corn kernels, about 4 ears
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley or chives, optional

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the butter and let it melt.
  3. Add the corn and sauté for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and slightly golden.
  4. Stir in the honey, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cook for another 1–2 minutes, until evenly combined and heated through.
  6. Remove from the heat and garnish with chopped parsley or chives if desired.
  7. Serve hot.

Preparation Notes

Cut the kernels from about four ears to obtain four cups. Stir occasionally during the first cooking stage so the corn can make contact with the hot skillet and color evenly.
