This pineapple angel food cake uses one-step cake mix and an entire can of crushed pineapple with its juice. The batter becomes foamy as the ingredients are stirred together.
Ingredients
- 1 box one-step angel food cake mix, such as Betty Crocker
- 1 large can crushed pineapple, about 20 ounces, undrained
- Nonstick cooking spray, for the pan
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease a 9×13-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Stir the dry cake mix and the entire can of crushed pineapple with its juice in a large bowl until no dry mix remains. The mixture will become foamy.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for the time specified on the cake-mix box for a 9×13-inch pan, usually 30–40 minutes. The cake is done when the sides pull away from the pan and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Set the pan on a wire rack and let the cake cool before cutting.
